Have you found the secret?
True happiness. It's what we all want, but can you say you've found it? When oil millionaire John D Rockefeller was asked how much it takes to make someone happy, he answered, 'Just a little bit more than he has.'
So is deep, lasting happiness always out of reach? The apostle Paul, who had the famous Damascus Road experience, made this amazing claim: 'I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation.'
What was the secret? Good health? A loving family? A well-paid job? No, Paul could be happy in any situation in life because he had the one thing he really needed – forgiveness from God through a real, living relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ultimately, we're unhappy because of our broken relationship with God. Jesus is able to put that right. If true happiness is what you want, there is no need to look anywhere else.
