About us: How can you belong?
We've already said that every true Christian, by definition, belongs to the one, universal church of God. But we also believe that each Christian should be committed to belonging to a local church.
To become a member of our particular church there are two requirements. The first is that you should be baptised in obedience to Jesus. Our church follows the New Testament practice that baptism is for those who have expressed their personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Secondly, we ask you to make a clear statement of your commitment to this church. Church membership is more like getting married than joining a club. So we express our willingness to live together as God's people in the way he desires us to. This reflect what the New Testament teaches about church life.
