About us: What do we believe?
God has told us everything we need to know about himself in the Bible, which is completely reliable in all it says.
There is only one God, who is perfect, unchanging and eternal. He exists in three distinct but equal persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
God is the loving creator of everything. He rules with complete authority over all he has made. As human beings we are accountable to him for everything we do.
We were made to love and obey God, but ever since Adam and Eve disobeyed him we have deserved God's punishment. This is because of our rebellion against him, which the Bible calls sin.
The great message of the Bible is that God has sent his Son, Jesus, to save us. On the cross Jesus took the punishment that we deserve. Through his resurrection he gives us new life by his Holy Spirit. This life begins here on earth but will last beyond death.
All the problems in the world today can be traced back to the fact that human beings have rejected God's loving rule. God will not allow this to continue.
Jesus has promised that one day he will return. Then every human being will face God's judgement. Those who have trusted Jesus in this life will live with God forever in the renewed creation. Sadly, everyone else will face God's punishment in a place the Bible calls hell. This is why it's vital for us to tell other people about Jesus.
